Gledwood's Drug Confessions: A Heroin Addict's Blog — Profile

Name:  Gledwood
E-mail:  leave messages for me in the comment box
Location:  London, UK
Birthday:  1 January, 1972
Bio:  Male: 34 years. (Don't want to give specific DoB). Dissolute life of drugs and broken promises. You don't want to know the depressing details. Any specific questions: put them to me using the Comment function under any post. Be as probing as you like. Any reasonable question I will answer. I'm telling my story (gradually) in my blog. The blog appears in reverse chronological order. To be more selective, select a topic from the topics box to the right on the main blog. E.g. Chinese Mouse tells about my hamster. Drugs - well that's obvious. News is my comments on the news... & so on.
Interests:  Apart from the obvious (heroin, crack, drink, cigs...) Hamsters & rodents. Jaffa Cakes. Cooking. Reading good books (when I can find 'em, they're so hard to find!), reading other people's blogs (look under topics for lists, click there and you'll see my top recommendation). Using the internet (boring! & before I started blogging I never would have listed that as an interest I can assure you.) Erm... what else. I used to be into all manner of techno-trance-hardhouse dance parties/raves/clubbing. Now I'm degraded to a Radio 4 listener, so draw from that whatever conclusion you can... Well I'm off now b4 I embarrass myself any further. PS People seem to like lists of favourite books/TV/films/music. I'll give this a shot. Bear in mind I just don't have favourites in general, I have things I like (does this make sense?) Books: For trash fiction: Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann is great. If I want to read more modern rubbish I'd go for Jackie Collins. Thrillers: Harlan Coben. Horror: James Herbert. (Like Steven King but he does drone on a bit, doesn't he?) "Literary": Dostoyevsky Crime & Punishment, Tolstoy Anna Karenina. Jane Austen is good but her only one I've finished is Emma (at school!!) Love picture-fact books the kind TimeLife & Reader's Digest publish e.g. Wonders of the Sea... What I love more along literary lines is poetry: Goethe, Wilfred Owen, Sylvia Plath. Shakespere is our greatest poet - hardly original, but true... Films: Carry on Films, Hammer Horror: Satanic Rites of Dracula... can't think of any more. TV: Okay I don't have TV at the minute and I don't particularly miss it. EastEnders is the only soap I've really followed. Also I love nature documentaries on Animal Planet and the BBC's David Attenborough Blue Planet etc. I know I'm going to think of loads of stuff when I'm logged out. Should have written this down on paper... Music: I used to like techno-trance-hardhouse. But I don't go out anymore. Sinead O'Connor is my favourite musician. "English Man", "Perfect Indian". She's written some beautiful lullabies.
